Student of the Month
March: Kenya Sandoval
April: Eli Guzman
Student of the Week: TBD
As a class we have spent a fair amount of time discussing how to be a quality student, teacher, and administrator. We came up with adjectives such as polite, helpful, and caring. Every week, we will have a "Student of the Week." This student exemplifies a quality student, and will wear our Cardinal Medallion all week.
In Language Arts we are focusing on reference materials. We are learning which reference book to use to find different information. Dictionary skills is a large part of this unit. Using guide words to find words is a great thing to practice at home!
In Math we are starting our graphing and data analysis unit. We will also start reviewing everything we have learned this year to get ready for the SOL.
Keep practicing your multiplication, division, and fractions!
We are in our ancient civilizations unit in social studies. We are learning about the geography, government, jobs, and contributions of ancient Greece, Rome, and Mali.
In Science we are starting our Energy and Natural Resources unit.
